Neqst was founded in 2008 to address the fact that many technology investors lacked the hands-on experience necessary to add value. Our team brings a blend of educational backgrounds and professional experience, with a strong emphasis on operational and managerial expertise. Neqst has always invested a significant portion of its own capital alongside investors, ensuring full and long-term alignment between all stakeholders.

Erik Fröberg

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Erik Fröberg has an extensive international background within the technology sector, encompassing operational, strategic and financial aspects of the industry. He has held top management roles within companies such as Capgemini, LHS Group and Digiquant, both in Europe and the United States. In addition, he has acted as special advisor and co-investor to General Atlantic Partners, a leading US-based private equity firm. Prior to co-founding Neqst, Erik acted as an independent board member and private investor. He holds an MSc in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Jonas Fredriksson

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Jonas Fredriksson has over 20 years of experience analysing, investing in and advising technology companies. Jonas has been a financial analyst at Alfred Berg and a partner, co-founder and fund manager of Manticore, a hedge fund within the Brummer & Partners network. He served for numerous years on the boards of the listed companies Protect Data, WM-data and Addnode. In parallel to starting Neqst he acted as special advisor to Öhman Asset Management’s IT fund for eight years. Jonas holds a BSc in System Analysis and Computer Science from the University of Karlstad.

Gabriela Baier-Sandén

Legal Counsel

Gabriela Baier-Sandén joined Neqst in 2018. Prior to joining Neqst, Gabriela was an attorney-at-law at Lindahl law office in Stockholm, where she mainly focused on corporate law, capital market transactions and public M&A. Oskar Bonnevier Fröberg

Investment Manager

Oskar Bonnevier Fröberg joined Neqst in 2024. Prior to joining Neqst, Oskar founded Abios where he served as CEO for over eleven years. Under his leadership, the company became the world’s first esports data provider, later expanding its offering to include data visualisations and odds. Abios was acquired in 2021 and is now integrated and part of the Kambi Group. Alongside building Abios, Oskar pursued his education at the Stockholm School of Economics where he holds an MSc in Finance.

Karin Eberstål

Legal Counsel

Karin Eberstål joined Neqst in 2021. Prior to joining Neqst, Karin was an associate with the law firms Mannheimer Swartling and TimeDanowsky in Stockholm, where she mainly focused on IT, tech, privacy and commercial contracts. Tobias Edvardsson

Partner & General Counsel

Tobias Edvardsson joined Neqst in 2012. Immediately prior to joining Neqst, Tobias was an attorney-at-law (advokat) at Lindahl law office in Stockholm. He has more than 20 years of experience on corporate boards and has founded several IT companies, including GlobeCom and Spinbox. He has written several books on the topics of law, privacy, IT and security and teaches regularly at Stockholm University. Tobias has a Swedish law degree from Stockholm University and an English law degree from Brunel University.

Wolfgang Kroh

Strategic Advisor

Wolfgang Kroh joined Neqst in 2017. He has over 30 years of operational experience within the information and communications technology sector, both internationally and in his native Germany. He has served as CEO of both private and public IT companies spanning hardware, software and services offerings, including Convex Supercomputer, EMC, LHS and Orga Systems. Wolfgang holds an MSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Hannover, Germany.

Caroline Lindstrand

Finance Director

Caroline Lindstrand joined Neqst in 2018. Prior to this, Caroline held the position Finance Manager at Första AP-fonden working with financial controlling, analyses, tax issues and regulatory reporting. She has worked more than 15 years in the Financial Sector, in roles as Finance Manager for Öhman Fonder and Wealth Management, and as Senior Controller at SEB. Per Lindtorp

Partner

Per Lindtorp joined Neqst in 2019. Per has spent over eight years at the technology investment bank GP Bullhound, where he was co-head in Stockholm and established the Hong Kong office. Per has extensive experience in leading global M&A and capital raising for technology companies. He also spent more than ten years as an equity research analyst and was Head of Telecom Equipment research for ABN AMRO/RBS in London. Per holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Mhairi Nybom

Investor Relations Manager

Mhairi Nybom joined Neqst in 2015. Originally from Great Britain, she has a First Class MA (Honours) in Business and Economics from The University of Edinburgh as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Design from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Emma Nygren

Finance Manager

Emma Nygren joined Neqst in 2013 as part of the accounting team. Henrik Scharp

Partner

Henrik Scharp has been a co-investor with Neqst since 2009 and joined the firm in 2017. He has more than 20 years of experience in the industrial and technology sectors, primarily as a board member and investor but also as interim CEO. Early in his career he joined Ericsson and held various management positions there before co-founding 42Networks, where he was CEO until its sale in 2006. Henrik holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and an MBA from INSEAD.

Klas Smedberg

Chief Financial Officer

Klas Smedberg joined Neqst in 2010. He held a variety of accounting and auditing positions prior to joining Neqst as CFO. At Deloitte, he was first part of the auditing team and later worked as a consultant specializing in accounting and regulatory matters for financial companies. He has also held the role of Head of Accounting at both the Swedish National Bureau of Investigation and at Öhman Asset Management. Klas holds a BSc in Business Administration and Economics from the Umeå School of Business and Economics.

Therese Yggström

Office Manager

Therese Yggström joined Neqst in 2022 as Office Manager and Executive Assistant. Prior to joining Neqst, Therese worked as Office Manager / Executive Assistant / PA in both Stockholm and London.
